Lisa Irish is a Canadian certified pedorthist (C. Ped (C), a professional trained in the assessment and treatment of foot and lower limb conditions and diseases using foot orthotics, footwear, footwear modifications and related devices. She has a passion for biomechanics, anatomy, human gait and how all that works together in health and injury of the feet and legs. She has more than 30 years’ experience as a pedorthist and currently serves the Burlington/Oakville region as a clinician, hand making her own orthotics for patients with lower limb symptoms. Lisa has had a long career teaching pedorthics, serving on boards and committees for professional organizations in pedorthics, providing clinical and technical services for patients, educating the public and health care professionals about foot orthotic and pedorthic care in the treatment of leg and foot issues. She has received several awards from her professional association in recognition of her service and leadership in the pedorthic profession. She takes every opportunity to help people understand how the human body functions and how their feet can affect their overall health.
