About Kristen
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and I work with children (6+), adolescents, and adults, with a special passion for supporting children and adolescents. Some common challenges I have supported clients with include anxiety, depression, sleep challenges, grief, OCD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, ADHD & autism, school and friendship difficulties, and trauma.
I also work closely with parents, recognizing that supporting a child often means supporting the whole family. I help parents better understand their child’s emotions and behaviours, develop practical strategies for challenging moments, and feel more confident in how they support their child outside of the sessions.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I have several years of experience working in a specialized autism centre, supporting children and families. Along with my professional experience, I have specialized education in Autism and Behavioural Science, which has deepened my understanding and appreciation of the unique strengths and needs of each individual.
