About Joyce
Where are you from?
I am from Montreal, Quebec and lived for 15 years in Europe between Belgium and France.
What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before stepping into the world of massage therapy, I worked as an energetic wellness practitioner. My focus was on helping people reconnect with their body, mind, and soul—supporting their overall wellbeing from a holistic perspective.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
Because I’m passionate about helping people. Becoming a Registered Massage Therapist allows me to support others in managing their symptoms and easing their discomfort, while continuing to foster the mind-body connection I’ve always valued.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
I love connecting with people and spending quality time outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, forest bathing, camping, or travelling, being in nature helps me recharge. My favourite moments are those spent with my daughter and husband, exploring new places or simply enjoying the fresh air together.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
What stands out to me the most is the community. Everyone is so friendly, and the teachers bring so much passion to what they do. I also feel really fortunate to be part of a supportive, inspiring cohort. There’s a strong sense of connection and shared purpose here.
Do you speak fluently any languages other than English?
I speak fluent French and a bit of Mandarin.
