Jessica Bevan has been teaching yoga since February 2019. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training (YTT) through the Vancouver School of Healing Arts (VSOHA) and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. This prepared her to teach hatha and vinyasa styles of yoga and has additionally trained in the Fundamentals of Restorative Yoga, also through VSOHA. Jessica has been practising Registered Massage Therapy since 2007 and uses her experience and extensive knowledge base in anatomy and physiology to help inform and build classes that suit every body and every ability through the use of props and modifications.
Jessica has been practicing yoga since 2007. In part to keep her body in working order to treat her patients and also to manage the stresses of everyday life. She has experienced and witnessed the healing power of yoga and truly believes in its ability to help everyone lead their best life. Jessica also loves learning and has done extensive training in osteopathic techniques, including visceral manipulation, craniosacral and myofascial therapies, that have helped her build a thriving integrative practice as a RMT.
Going forward she would like to complete her 300 hour YTT and Pilates instructor training to allow her to delve deeper into the world of yoga therapy and clinical Pilates to incorporate movement more fully into her ability to care for patients and hold space for students.
