About Jennifer

Jennifer is a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. She helps individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion, tailoring her support to meet each person’s unique needs. She works with people experiencing life transitions, workplace stress and burnout, parenting struggles, grief and loss, imposter syndrome and perfectionism. With years of hospital experience providing counselling and system navigation, Jennifer has worked across critical care, trauma medicine, geriatrics, and mental health. This broad background allows her to understand the complex intersections between health, family life, and emotional well-being. In her current role as a Social Worker in a prominent Toronto rehab hospital, she supports individuals and families following amputation, helping them adjust to the physical, emotional, and social impacts of limb loss. Her trauma-informed and compassionate approach creates space for clients to process difficult experiences while building resilience, hope, and meaningful coping strategies. Jennifer is especially passionate about supporting parents and caregivers of all stripes who often put others’ needs ahead of their own, and face challenges in navigating the demands of work and family. As a mother of two energetic boys, she understands firsthand the challenges of parenting and helps clients develop self-compassion and sustainable self-care practices. Jennifer’s therapeutic style is collaborative and flexible. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), she works to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, reduce stress, and build strategies that fit into daily life. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, relaxing at the spa, and playing retro video games with her husband and children. She believes in the importance of joy, rest, and self-care, not as luxuries but as essential practices for mental health and well-being.
