What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before pursuing a career in massage therapy, I worked as a registered veterinary technologist in an animal emergency hospital.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
Pursuing massage therapy felt like a natural transition from my previous career because of my love for healthcare and learning about the body and how it works. I want to be an RMT to make a positive change in my patients day to day lives. Whether it be relaxation, helping rid a patient of aches and pains or rehabilitation from an injury, I want to be there to help increase my patient’s quality of life.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
When I’m not in school I love to read fantasy books, make pottery and check out new restaurants with my partner and friends.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
My favorite thing about VCMT is the community. My cohort is so supportive and the teachers genuinely want to help and see you succeed.
