About Jasdeep
Hello! My name is Jasdeep Sadhra and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle (Edmonton Campus) and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of Alberta. I am also a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
I believe counselling is most effective when clients feel safe, supported, and truly heard. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges while developing hope, healing, and resilience.
I take an integrative, client-centred approach to therapy because I recognize that every person’s journey is unique. Together, we can explore your individual needs, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change in a way that aligns with your values. I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),
Attachment Based Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Meditation to support clients effectively.
Therapy for Children, Teens and Parents
I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for children, teens, and parents to navigate emotional, behavioural, and life challenges. I work collaboratively with young clients and their families to understand their unique needs and develop practical strategies that support positive change.
With children and teens, I support concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, behavioural difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, trauma, and other life transitions. My goal is to help young clients better understand and express their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and feel more confident navigating challenges.
I also support parents who may be experiencing parenting challenges or seeking guidance in supporting their child or teen’s emotional and behavioural well-being. When appropriate, parent involvement can be incorporated into therapy to strengthen communication, understanding, and supportive strategies at home.
Therapy for Adults
I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem and confidence, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship conflict, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, OCD, and self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
Through an integrative, client-centred approach, I work collaboratively with adults to better understand their experiences, develop practical coping strategies, build resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change.
A Bit About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, along with trying out new restaurants and coffee shops. When I’m not exploring Edmonton, I love travelling whenever I have the chance to discover somewhere new!
