About Jacquelyn
Jacquelyn is a Registered Massage Therapist, who has been practicing Myofascial Release for 4 years. She has taken over 100 hours of additional training in treating jaw disorders, pelvic imbalances, cranial tension, chronic pain and complex disorders. Her background in advocating & counseling clients experiencing trauma, was the foundation which led her to bodywork. She learned that while talk therapy can be very valuable; memories, grief & trauma are stored in the body and often show up as physical discomfort and pain. Myofascial Release allows clients to tune in to their bodies, feel somatic sensations, calm down the nervous system and release emotions & restrictions.
Jacquelyn is not your average Swedish Massage therapist. Treatments are not only about resolving symptoms, but finding the root causes of pain & restriction in order to create long lasting healing. Jacquelyn has experience in treating a wide range of conditions, injuries, physical & emotional trauma, as well as complex and chronic dis-ease. Treatment plans are created based on clinical assessment, client's experiences, feelings & goals.
Client input & continuous feedback are key to successful changes. A significant part of creating a treatment plan is teaching & empowering clients to learn how to do their own "self-releases" so that the body feels well cared for on a daily basis. Jacquelyn strives to provide a space where clients feel validated & heard.
In her spare time Jacquelyn is dedicated to volunteering with a farmed animal sanctuary & being involved with rescuing dogs. She is committed to a healthy lifestyle & finds joy in her yoga practice, spirituality, dancing & spending time in nature.
