Life will give us hard kicks, but how we respond to these moments defines us. If we believe in ourselves, we are already halfway to our goals. The remaining half could be finding someone ready to lend an ear, offer support, and guide us through any challenges we may face.
As an associate counsellor, I earnestly desire to help every client experience growth and positive transformation in their lives. I strongly believe that every client is an expert in their own experiences, and my goal is to create a collaborative and supportive environment to achieve their therapeutic goals.
Based on my training and experience, I choose an integrative approach that includes CBT, SFBT, PCT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, and Mindfulness-Based Approaches. However, I am open to exploring and incorporating other modalities and techniques to meet the needs of each person, couple, family, or group. I'm interested in depression, anxiety, domestic violence, grieving and loss, addictions, and stress management. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, youths, families, indigenous peoples, and people of colour because I am committed to culturally sensitive and inclusive therapy.
Through strength-based methods, I will help clients find their inner resources and resilience to overcome life's problems. We will go on a self-discovery and transformational journey together, developing new insights and building on our strengths to promote well-being and constructive change in a non-judgmental environment filled with empathy respect and real interest in their perspective.
I am 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and available to residents of Alberta.
