About Gillian
Mary Gillian Vellet is a Massage Therapist with seventeen years of experience working in multi-disciplinary clinics in Ontario and British Columbia. She previously trained as an artist and dancer, and her own dance injuries motivated her to pursue Massage Therapy to help others safely rehabilitate sports injuries.
She is here to support clients with skill, compassion, and a focus on real results. She will always ask for consent to wear latex‑free nitrile gloves during treatment.
These gloves enhance her grip strength while applying ligamental, spinal, and fascial releases, ensuring both effectiveness and comfort while also being safe for clients with latex sensitivities.
Her Massage Therapy approach integrates body-mind-spirit. She is passionate about helping clients achieve their wellness goals and transform their lives through calming the nervous system, improving tissue health, enhancing circulation, relieving pain, strengthening postural alignment, and practising self-care.
She has experience successfully treating acute and chronic pain, as well as computer and sports-related injuries, such as neck and spinal neuropathic pain; whiplash; rotator cuff strains/shoulder surgeries; scapular winging; tendinitis; carpal tunnel syndrome; pectoral girdle imbalances; migraines and headaches; TMJ grinding, cranial and sinus congestion; post-surgery cruciate/meniscal/hip and knee replacement; scoliosis; sciatica; sacroiliac joint pain and hypermobility; pelvic imbalances; leg-length discrepancy; plantar fasciitis; digestive and lymphatic conditions; post c-section and endometrial surgeries; perinatal and postnatal care.
