I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice. I am also authorized to perform restricted activities. I utilize several evidence-based practices in my work. I hold certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I am also trained in EMDR Basic Protocol and the Recent Traumatic Event Protocol. Lastly, I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and utilize Somatic Experiencing in my practice to support individuals to heal from trauma. Throughout my social work journey, I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings, including correctional centers, outpatient mental health clinics, community crisis, and inpatient psychiatry. I strive to create an inclusive therapy environment, and I identify as a LGBTQ2SIA+ allied therapist. I practice from a non-judgmental and empathetic counselling framework in which all of us have the capacity to change and grow, no matter our background or past trauma. I have learned a great deal from the individuals I work with, and I am always honored to join alongside them as they heal. I have seen how providing a safe and supportive therapeutic environment can help individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and grief feel empowered and recognize the strength within them to heal.
