Dr. Jayda Mikl, ND, is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who provides personalized and evidence-based care for her patients. Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, she is deeply committed to supporting the health of her local community.
Dr. Mikl completed her four-year medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Fraser Valley. Her education laid the foundation for a well-rounded approach that combines scientific evidence with holistic, patient-centred care.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Mikl is trained to assess and treat a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns. Her clinical focus includes hormonal and menstrual health, menopause, fertility, fatigue and nutrient deficiencies, digestive health, skin conditions, metabolic health, and children's health.
Dr. Mikl has advanced training in cosmetic and therapeutic neuromodulator treatments, including Botox® and Dysport®. She provides cosmetic treatments as well as therapeutic injections for conditions such as chronic headaches, TMJ disorders, bruxism, and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Dr. Mikl develops individualized treatment plans that integrate the latest research, her clinical experience, and each patient's unique goals. She utilizes a wide range of therapeutic tools, including laboratory testing, physical examinations, nutrition and lifestyle counselling, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, acupuncture, hormone replacement therapy, pharmaceutical prescribing, and neuromodulator treatments when appropriate.
She is a firm believer in patient education and empowerment and encourages patients to take an active role in their health. Her philosophy emphasizes the importance of preventative medicine, focusing on lifestyle choices that foster long-term health.
Outside of practice, Dr. Mikl enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, reading, travelling, and exploring the outdoors with her rescue dog.
