About Cynthia

Bilingual Counsellor – Individual and Couples Counselling (English and French) Cynthia has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She provides counselling services in both English and French, supporting adults and couples through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. Cynthia offers both individual and couples counselling, drawing from EMDR Therapy, Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, somatic and nervous-system regulation techniques, and Internal Family Systems to create a therapeutic approach tailored to each client. As a trauma-informed therapist, Cynthia works with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, dissociation, shame, stress, burnout, chronic pain, identity concerns, and major life transitions. In her work with couples, she incorporates Psychobiological Approaches to Couples Counselling (PACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman-informed methods to help partners build secure, resilient, and mutually supportive relationships. Cynthia’s counselling style is grounded in empathy, presence, and collaboration. She aims to help clients expand their emotional awareness, strengthen their regulation skills, understand relational patterns, and reconnect with their authentic selves. Her intention is to empower individuals and couples to break unhelpful cycles and move toward clarity, confidence, and sustainable change. Cynthia is committed to accessible care and offers a limited number of sliding scale appointments; clients are welcome to discuss this with her during a meet and greet. Originally from Quebec, Cynthia studied Arts and Communications before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Adventure Tourism. She moved to Revelstoke in 2008 and has been grateful to call it home ever since. Inspired by the diversity of human experience and the potential for growth within each person, she later pursued her Master’s degree and extensive additional training in attachment, parts work, somatic techniques, and nervous-system regulation.
