Cristiane de la Hoz, PhD, DipTCM, DrAc
Having graduated as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cristiane likes to treat her patients with a variety of TCM modalities, including acupuncture, ear acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, electroacupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbs and Qi Gong exercises.
She treats a variety of conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, digestive issues, headaches, insomnia and menstrual problems. She also does Oncology Acupuncture, helping patients struggling with the side effects of cancer treatment, including nausea, dry mouth, diarrhea or constipation, and chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy.
After many years of academic life as a researcher in Neurosciences and Immunology, Cristiane’s personal experiences with acupuncture became instead a strong passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine, opening the doors for a new career. In her free time, she enjoys nature (outdoors and on tv), practicing Tai Ji Quan, and chasing the Aurora Borealis with her husband.
