About Clayre

I came to psychotherapy through twenty-five years of learning to listen: first as a massage therapist and yoga teacher, then through art and communication, and finally in the therapy room, where story, sensation, and imagination meet. That path still shapes how I work. The body sets the pace, and we follow it together, without pushing. My practice is relational and experiential, attentive to how attachment and the nervous system carry our histories. As a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, Certified Focusing Oriented Therapist, and senior facilitator for Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment, I draw on art therapy, parts work, and somatic approaches to trauma, grief, and change. Some sessions are quiet conversation. Others invite image, movement, or stillness. You choose what fits, and nothing here needs to be performed. I offer affirming care for trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive adults and teens, shaped by my own life as a trans queer woman and by years of LGBTQIA+ advocacy and disability justice work. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and a WPATH GEI SOC8 Certified Professional Member. Whatever brings you, we begin with where you are, not where you think you should be. You are welcome to start with a free 15-minute consultation to see whether working together feels like a fit.
