Cheryl Standing, RMT

About Cheryl

A graduate in 2002, in Ontario, Cheryl has gained experience in her 20 years as an RMT in rehabilitation, chiropractic and spa settings. She took the leap and recently moved to Canmore, as the mountains keep drawing her back. She is a backcountry hiker in the summer and cross country skier in the winter. Cheryl is best known for deep tissue therapy; her most common treatments are sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, and pregnancy, as well as stress management. She uses Cupping Therapy and hydrotherapy in treatments when indicated, which is ideal for fascial restrictions and muscle tension. Cheryl is also a certified ISSA Fitness Trainer, and Nutrition coach. In 2019, she travelled to India to obtain her 200 hour Yoga teacher certification. This background has allowed her to understand movement patterns and common dysfunctions in real world application in sports and fitness. Fitness training has better equipped her with a teaching ability to provide home care exercises to clients. Cheryl is excited to be a part of the Bodhi Wellness team here in Canmore, merging treatment based massage with whole body wellness in a spa atmosphere.
