About Cecilia
Cecilia is a Registered Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician with more than 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. She offers support to individuals and couples navigating worry, stress, grief, loss, depression, relationship challenges, PTSD, and birth and medical trauma.
Cecilia’s commitment to perinatal mental health is both personal and professional. As a mother of three teens, her journey into motherhood began with an unexpected medical diagnosis during her first pregnancy. She deeply understands the emotional distress and sense of isolation that can arise from receiving a medical diagnosis and caring for a baby requiring medical support in the postpartum period and beyond. Her personal experience inspired her to support parents navigating similar challenges with compassion, understanding, and optimism.
In addition to her work with individuals, Cecilia is passionate about helping couples strengthen their relationships through better communication, deeper connection, and more effective conflict resolution. She has received her Gottman Level 2 training and with empathy and structure, she provides a supportive framework for healing emotional wounds, rebuilding trust, and fostering stronger, more connected relationships.
Cecilia draws on a range of evidence-based approaches (CBT, SFT, EFT) and integrates mindfulness and body-based practices to help clients feel calm, grounded, and emotionally regulated. Her sessions are tailored to each individual or couple's unique needs and goals, combining emotional support with practical tools for managing stress and emotional overwhelm. Originally from Denmark and fluent in English and Danish, Cecilia offers a culturally sensitive perspective and understands the challenges of building a life in a new country.
Outside of her clinical work, Cecilia enjoys CrossFit, yoga, meditation, and spending time in nature. She offers daytime and evening appointments to accommodate busy schedules.
