About Carrie

Welcome! Navigating through the world comes with inherent challenges, and sometimes what we’re seeking for support is more than what our friends or family can provide. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where you can show up as you are, feel seen and heard, and together, we co-create the helpful way forward. I offer trauma-informed counselling that integrates somatic psychotherapy techniques. This approach recognizes the connection between the mind and body and helps to process and release traumatic stress in a safe and supportive environment. Supporting survivors of violence and abuse is an area of particular interest in my practice. I completed a master’s in counselling from the University of Calgary and I’ve also completed a 3-year Somatic Experiencing training; my undergraduate degree is from the University of Victoria. Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter and loved ones, walking in nature, swimming in lakes, and practicing yoga.
