About Andrew
What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before starting at VCMT, I completed a biochemistry degree at Queen’s University and made the move from Ontario to BC. Since then, I’ve been working as a bartender and making the most of life in Vancouver.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
I found myself interested in studying massage after taking an introductory workshop at VCMT for fun. Being able to help people ground from the stress of the world and improve their well-being is something I find so rewarding. I’m excited to continue to develop my knowledge around the body while working on a meaningful, hands-on skill that I can use to support both my own health and the health of others.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
Outside of school and work, I love gymming, roller blading the seawall, taking dance classes, and spending time by the water. I’m also into music mixing, video games, and Tarot!
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
I love how studying at VCMT has allowed me to meet so many interesting, fun, and like-minded people who share a common interest and goal. It's an incredibly supportive environment, and I'm grateful to be a part of it.
