She is also a certified family group conference facilitator and has worked supporting families impacted by foster care, kinship care, grief, and challenging court mandates. Amy has worked within school settings, in-home services, not-for-profit agencies, and children's services. Amy has an integrative approach to therapy, pulling from modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her methodology is primarily client-centred, as Amy believes in the importance of building supportive therapeutic relationships and creating a safe environment to foster growth and adaptive behaviours. Through compassion, empathy, and acceptance, Amy aims to journey alongside her clients in discovering and developing the tools and resources they need to achieve their therapeutic goals. She excels at working with adults, adolescents, children and families who present with self-criticism, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, family relationships, neurodiversity, and parenting challenges.
