Alison is a RMT, clinical educator, author, and researcher whose work is grounded in trauma-informed care. Prior to becoming an RMT, Alison spent several years working in acute care supporting patients with complex conditions. That experience shaped her understanding that effective clinical care is not only technical, but deeply relational. Alison brings this perspective into her practice, recognizing that meaningful change in the body often depends on a person feeling safe, supported, and able to work at their own pace. Drawing from both massage therapy and craniosacral therapy, her work focuses on supporting nervous system regulation in individuals experiencing persistent or complex patterns of pain and injury that don’t always follow a single clear cause. Alison’s practice is a slower approach that emphasizes comfort, pacing, and nervous-system-led care. As such, she does not offer high-intensity deep tissue techniques, and may not be the best fit for clients seeking very heavy pressure.
