About Albert
Albert Chan is the Clinic Director and Owner of Elevation Physiotherapy. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1996. He has a special interest in the management of complex and difficult to treat orthopaedic conditions. Albert works collaboratively with Physiatrists and Sport Medicine Physicians to successfully treat athletes and patients undergoing interventional procedures like cortisone injections, lidocaine myofascial injections, Botox, prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and autologous blood injections.
Albert is also a runner and cross country skier and is passionate about the treatment and prevention of running and skiing injuries. When he is not working, you will likely see him training to improve both his running and cross country ski times.
Albert has an Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapy Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been treating dizziness, vestibular problems and concussion injuries since 2009.
Albert is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Therapy (FCAMPT) since 2002 having completed his Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Therapy. He completed his Gunn IMS training in 2007. In addition to clinical practice, Albert is a Clinical Instructor for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program and to family medicine students from the University of Alberta Family Medicine Program.
