About Alanna

Alanna graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy after completing her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. Growing up, she was involved in sport from a young age and realized it was important to take care of your body. As part of her undergraduate degree, Alanna worked as the student Trainer for University of Western Ontario’s Varsity Women’s Field Hockey Team, allowing her to gain experience working with high level athletes and a multitude of injuries. Alanna gained a deep appreciation for the profession through the rigorous and methodical treatments that were applied by the sports medicine team including physiotherapists, and ultimately was determined to help others gain the benefit of similar treatments. Alanna’s treatment approach is focused on creating individualized programs which incorporate client specific goals. Alanna’s primary tools include manual therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture, as well as education to build the most effective program for each patient. Alanna is passionate about continued education and has completed courses in basic sport taping, soft tissue release, acupuncture, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and has obtained her Level 1 Certification in Manual Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Alanna is excited to implement the best treatment plans for all of her clients to help each individual regain skills and mobility they had pre-injury from recreational physical activity to highly competitive sport.
