“I first visited the hospital when my great uncle was aging and having some issues. All the staff were great and very kind. Today I myself had to have a procedure there and for an unpleasant procedure it sure was a pleasurable experience. Everyone was super sweet, the doc was amazing. Very happy I was in such good hands today.”Read moreShow less

“Great staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable in multiple departments that I visited! I was pleased with how thorough the doctors were and how they processed me and had tests completed. We are so fortunate to have this great hospital and the workers in our city.”Read moreShow less

“Had a small medical procedure scheduled at the Wetaskiwin hospital. From the check-in staff, to the nurses, and the doctors, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Parking is also cheap at $3 per DAY.”

“This little rural hospital is amazing and makes me feel blessed to live in town. Blood testing is quick when you make an appointment. Staff are kind and dedicated - very patient focused. Doctors are no bullshit. Service is fast as well, most of the time, unless you’re in on a busy weekend. I would always choose coming here over going to a hospital in the city.”Read moreShow less

“Wetaskiwin Emergency is very busy responding to a constant stream of ambulances and walk in patients. Triage nurses demonstrate professional care and patience while attending to a myriad of conditions. I was treated with kindness and humour as information was gathered. It was an eight hour wait to meet with a physician. Once meeting with the physician the process was efficient (initial physical assessment, testing, X-rays, etc) and comprehensive. I was most impressed with the thorough diagnostics and treatment guidance provided by Dr. De Roubaix. Dr. De Roubaix’s bedside manner, sense of humour and his ability to engage patients is reassuring. Thank you for the excellent care!”Read moreShow less

“Here i am lying on the bed in the emergency waiting for a doctor to attend to suture the cut on my limbs. Its been two hours after being called into the ward. Its just a simple procedure. Its not that busy here. Are the doctors protesting against the Alberta Govt by their slow moving action.”Read moreShow less

“I just want to start off by saying how truly thankful I am for the incredible care I received during my surgery on Friday. I was lucky to have Dr. Badawi as my surgeon. He was kind, funny, and made me feel completely at ease from start to finish. My nurses, Reba and April, were absolutely amazing. They made me feel so safe, comfortable, and cared for in such a vulnerable moment. I really hope the hospital recognizes the compassion and effort they bring to their work every single day. I also want to give the biggest thank you to my ER nurse Lucky. He was truly a gift. From the moment I met him, he went above and beyond to make sure I felt calm and cared for. He was reassuring, gentle, and genuine in every way. Even after my surgery, he checked in on me to make sure I was okay. People like him are the reason I look at nurses and think they are real heroes. I cannot thank him enough for the difference he made in my experience and I truly hope he is recognized for the incredible way he treats his patients. The only part of my experience that was difficult was my interaction with the female anesthesiologist. Surgery is an extremely vulnerable experience, and I felt that her words and tone lacked compassion and professionalism. It made me feel uncomfortable and hesitant to move forward with the procedure. I truly hope she rethinks how she speaks to patients in the future because empathy and respect make all the difference in moments like these. Overall, I am beyond grateful for the care I received from Dr. Badawi, Lucky, Reba, April and the 2 other nurses in that room along with the assistant male doctor. This hospital is full of people who truly love what they do and I am so thankful to have been cared for by them.”Read moreShow less

“This is the biggest rural hospital in Alberta that I've ever visited. The emergency room is always full, which explains why they have several admission units. The nurses here seem very knowledgeable in what they do. The only thing is that you need to pay for parking, but anyway, it was not bad at all. It was definitely a great visit, and I am glad Wetaskiwin has such a nice hospital to accommodate people who are in need.”Read moreShow less
