I chose this place due to the positive reviews and quick appointment but unfortunately had a very bad experience here. I felt very taken advantage of, they grabbed a lot of money from me for glasses they knew or should have known would not help my condition at all! I went in for an eye exam as I had not had one in over 5 years and my old prescription glasses were not working for me anymore at all. The optometrist diagnosed a ‘very advanced cataract’ on one eye and was dismissive of the other eye (which also had a bad cataract!). Despite the diagnosis and their information that cataracts are progressive, I was still sold a very expensive prescription, close to $1000 with useless bells & whistles that included lenses that darken in outdoor light (which made my eyesight worse!), ‘progressive’ lenses (also made things worse!) and an ‘anti fog’ cloth which did not work at all. When I picked up the glasses, the reception staff went to the door of the shop with me, pointed to a street sign less than half a block away and asked if I could read it. I definitely said NO, but again so dismissive! - she just shook her head and mumbled something about it takes time to get used to new glasses. Seriously?? - considering the diagnosis and the big bux I had forked over! So I waited months to ‘get used to’ those expensive prescription glasses but of course, that did not happen. I could have gone back and complained and demanded my money back, but by that point, I did not want to deal with them at all as I was so disgusted by their dismissive attitude and huge money grab. They seemed to care more about selling glasses than about professional eye care and advice. It seemed less stressful and less time consuming to just cut my losses, avoid them at all costs, and recommend that other cataract patients steer clear! The optometrist referred me to an ophthalmologist and told me I would need surgery but despite the very ‘advanced’ cataract diagnosis, they did NOT indicate they would request that I be seen as a priority! They also did NOT mention that some extended health plans will pay for surgery at a private clinic or suggest that I look into that for quicker treatment, even though they could obviously see that I was paying for the insurer portion of my appointment with my employer healthcare benefits (I still paid close to $1000 for the patient portion of the exam/glasses). Instead, I was put in the regular queue of waiting 9 months for an appointment with the ophthalmologist by which point I was legally blind and was prioritized for immediate eye surgery within a few weeks. The ophthalmologist also confirmed that the glasses Vida eyecare sold me were useless and that NO glasses would have helped my progressive cataracts, on either eye. I would never go back to Vida eyecare! I do not recommend them at all.

Terrific courteous service when I needed an emergency pair of sun glasses after an eye dr. appointment where they dialated my eyes and I had forgotten to bring sun glasses. It was a sun filled day and Vida saved my day. Thank you. A great place to do business and very thoughtful and kind folks here.

Awesome clinic, super friendly and knowledgeable. Goes into more detail than other places I have been. Got japanese brand glasses that were light and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I've been going to Vida for almost 5 years now and it was always a good experience. I was recommended to a laser eye surgeon nearby and had very detailed and informative follow up visits at Vida following the surgery.

Came here for an eye exam and was thoroughly impressed with the service. Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable with the way they took me through the preliminary checks. I had my exam with Helen who was very thorough and provided suggestions on which contacts to wear that would be suitable for my day to day life. I would definitely recommend coming to Vida if you are looking for glasses/eye exams as they easily top all my previous experiences with other Optometrists.

Very professional. Dr Lee took very good care of me after my cataract surgery. Initially, I just wanted to get new glasses after my surgery but Dr Lee determined that all I needed was reading glasses. No pressure to buy from them. Very pleased and satisfied. James at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. I have another follow up appointment with them. Highly recommended.
