“St Mike’s is an incredible facility. We were so blessed to have our family member there for stroke rehab. Firstly, the facility has top notch physios, who made huge gains with her. Secondly, the staff was wonderful (especially Mark)! The go way beyond taking care of her basic needs, but became like family to her. She went there depressed about her condition, and left revived, improved and hopeful. They go above and beyond for our loved ones, and for this I’m eternally grateful. Thank you St Mikes!”Read moreShow less

“My partner is currently in the PARP programme. I can't say enough about St. Michael's. The staff - nurses, all the rehab folks (physio, occupational and speech therapies), the doctors, dietician - are amazing. They do everything they can to help and always make me feel welcome. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere; even the food is delicious. I'm grateful to know my partner is in the best place possible for his recovery.”Read moreShow less

“St. Michael's Health Centre has a Post Acute Rehabilitation Program (PARP) with occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy assistants. Many of the clients are amputees, stroke patients, people out from surgery and accident patients. The PARP program depends upon the needs of the client and there are teams to determine the length of stay for each client as well. All rooms are private and meals along with nursing staff are provided to meet individual needs. Well rounded facility.”Read moreShow less

“I am not to judge about this place, but I have been there probably four times to offer my service as a volunteer with no success. Most of the times the coordinators are not there and once I got him he took my information and told me he would contact me, which never happened. I have left my info several times at the front desk, but no reply. I even talked with the pastor, I guess he was the pastor there, he said he would let them know I have been there, but funny ..... he never asked for my name or number. Hey, I gave up and asked myself:"Do I really want to work here with these kind of people? Probably not." It makes me just sad for the patients in there .... who knows how they feel. Someone should take charge of this place and make some changes in the top rows.”Read moreShow less

“It has been a while since my mother was at St. Michael's. The care from from the staff seemed good...some better than others of course, like in many places. However, the thing that was most upsetting was when my sister went back to retrieve my mother's few belongings, after she had passed away, she was missing a nice blanket that my sister had gotten especially for her and a pair of shoes. When my sister inquired to the whereabouts of these items she got nowhere. So apparently someone on staff felt at liberty to steal personal belongings that did not belong to her. So sad and maybe we could have gotten somewhere if we had pushed the matter but who wants to deal with that after losing a loved one.”Read moreShow less
