“Bike Fit Experience and Follow-Up Concerns I booked a PRO bike fit on June 17 for $344.93, following recommendations from my physiotherapist and sports medicine physician to help me return to cycling while managing a six-month-old meniscus tear and patellofemoral chondropathy in my right knee. Having ridden 6,600 km the previous season, my explicit goal was to reduce stress on my injured knee. A month prior to the appointment, I emailed the fitter and called the shop to verify if they could accommodate my specific medical conditions. I received no response before my appointment date. At the appointment, I verbally disclosed my knee conditions. The fitter confirmed that my legs were of equal length. Despite this, my left cleat was positioned significantly farther back than my right, major changes were made to my saddle position, and my handlebars were raised. During the fitting, I explicitly told the fitter twice that the new cleat position was causing pain in my injured right knee. I was advised to continue and told that follow-up adjustments are common. Near the end of the appointment, another customer arrived for their session and my appointment concluded. Before I left, a Vélozophie mechanic lowered the handlebars, readjusted the front brake, and informed me that the handlebars had been raised beyond the manufacturer's "max" safety marking. Consequently, the bike position I left with differed from the setup established by the fitter. No written fit report or documentation of the final configuration was provided to me. During a 15 km ride home, I experienced severe pelvic instability, painful skin chafing, a significant worsening of the symptoms in my injured right knee, and new pain in my previously symptom-free left knee. I emailed the fitter immediately upon returning home to report these physical issues and request guidance or adjustments, but received no response. My subsequent refund request was declined. The shop management stated in writing that they were not responsible for the independent actions of the fitter. After posting my initial feedback, I received an email requesting the removal of my review under threat of legal action. This review is a completely accurate and factual account of my personal service experience.”

“I love this place. It's my army of specialists who keep me moving! I see Nicolas for chiro, Francis for massage, Émilie for bike fits and Max for personal training and rehab. I've had other practitioners throughout the years as well and all have been incredible. The classes are amazing as well. I love that the classes are run by people who can work around my injuries so I never feel that I have to push myself beyond what's safe for me. Max has just helped me work past rehab and now into my build phase and I'm so excited!”
