My wife booked a couple's massage for us at Salt & Stone. We arrived early to complete our intake forms and waited past our scheduled start time before being taken to the treatment room. Once we were in the room, the massage therapists informed us that there was an issue with the intake form. Because my wife was pregnant (10 weeks), they explained that they could not proceed without a doctor's note and that they were not prepared to provide prenatal massage services. She happened to have an email from the doc that said she was healthy, though it didn't explicitly state "you can get a massage" and so this was not sufficient. While I understand and respect the need for policies surrounding pregnancy and client safety, the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing. Part of the problem was that we were not able to complete the intake forms ahead of time. The forms were lengthy and included a number of questions related to physiotherapy and medical history, which created some confusion. We were unaware of the pregnancy policy and only learned of it after we had already arrived, completed the paperwork, been taken to the treatment room, and were expecting to begin our appointment. Instead of having a manager come speak with us directly, the massage therapist was left to act as a messenger. She would leave the room to speak with the manager and then return to relay information, resulting in several rounds of back-and-forth discussion while we sat waiting in the treatment room. Throughout the conversation, we were made to feel as though we should have known about the policy, despite genuinely being unaware of it. We were ultimately offered the "option" to cancel that day, pay an $85 cancellation fee, and then rebook a prenatal massage. Considering no service had been provided and the spa was unable to perform the massage we had booked, being charged $85 felt unreasonable. The repeated trips back and forth and the way the situation was communicated turned what could have been a simple administrative issue into an upsetting experience that ultimately left my pregnant wife in tears. To be fair, there was apparently a disclaimer in the booking process regarding pregnancy and the requirement for a doctor's note. My wife unfortunately missed it when making the reservation. That said, we left feeling upset not because of the policy itself, but because of how the situation was handled. A manager should have taken ownership of the discussion directly rather than communicating through the massage therapist, and charging an $85 cancellation fee under these circumstances only added to the frustration. We hope Salt & Stone can improve this process so future customers do not have a similar experience.

I recently booked a therapeutic massage with Wenhao and it was the most effective massage I have ever had! He paid attention to the problem areas and made sure the experience was as comfortable as possible. I appreciated that he made me feel safe in this type of environment and indicated if I were to ever feel uncomfortable he would immediately leave the room and let me speak to a manager about what happened. During the entire process he made sure to ask how I was doing and to make sure I felt secure with how the blankets were tucked so nothing I did not want exposed was covered appropriately. I really appreciate these level of care I received!

Loved the front desk person. So kind and welcoming. My massage was amazing and so relaxing. I loved the tips at the end for how to help my muscles at home.

Had an incredible couples massage with Jinesh. The whole experience easy and comfortable and the massage was incredibly relaxing. Was very good with pressure and working out tight spots in my back. Would definitely book with him again and definitely recommend.

I visited from out of town with a group, and unfortunately, my practitioner ran 30 minutes late. The receptionist was very kind and helpful during the wait. Because my group was waiting, we had to do a shortened 30-minute session instead. I really appreciate that they didn't charge me for the massage to try and make up for the delay, but the service itself felt a bit off. However, I appreciated the great front desk service and the effort to fix the mistake.

Your summer packages are awesome!! Great experience! The estheticians were friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. They were knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and recommend products that suited my skin. My skin felt amazing afterward, and I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend! Had the BCL and HydroFacial

Love the fact I was able to get in right away when I had an issue with my neck and shoulder. The online booking was simple to use. My therapist, Wenhao, listened to my concerns and addressed them including some suggestions for home aftercare. Reception was fabulous and the waiting area pleasant and calming. I will definitely be back.

After reading many reviews at different locations trying to find a place that offered prenatal massages with the pregnancy bolster. I decided to book here and I’m so glad I did. I am 36 weeks pregnant and was in the city for the night, wanting one last massage before baby arrives. Seema was able to find many of my knots and work them out. I left feeling relaxed and had a great sleep that night. She applies really good pressure and checks in frequently to make sure you’re comfortable and that her pressure is okay, highly recommend booking with Seema. Thank you!

Such a soothing, calm place to be at, I felt welcomed & at ease. I had an absolutely exceptional experience with my therapist Camryn during my deep tissue & relaxation massage. It was a perfect balance of therapeutic pressure & calming flow. The massage was not only deeply relaxing but also intuitively focused on the areas that needed attention. I could feel the stress melt away, feeling lighter, completely refreshed & truly cared for. I highly recommend Cam to anyone looking for a skilled & compassionate massage therapy. Thank you Cam for such a restorative & a rejuvenating session.
