“Had a massage with Michelle Cousins who focused on intraoral treatment for my TMJ, and it was the first massage in years that provided significant relief for both my jaw and neck. Michelle's communication style made it easy to understand what to expect throughout the treatment and allowed me to comfortably guide the pressure and depth of the massage. I've now had approximately five massages with different therapists at Royal York Massage Therapy & Osteopathy, and every experience has been excellent. “I was incredibly mistreated by an RMT here. I've never had such a poor experience. I was in extreme distress the whole time and the RMT did not lighten up or adapt to my obvious discomfort. I was black and blue both arms front and back for weeks. Will never return. Truly a traumatizing and incomprehensible experience. “Such a great find! The office has a lovely atmosphere and a very sweet receptionist who makes you feel right at home. Yianni is an interesting, easy-going person who really knows his stuff. He was very respectful and helped me see a real improvement with inflammation in my legs right away. “Awesome place, amazing therapist. I mistakenly went to the wrong address and was going to cancel. Manager Emma and therapist Yianni were sooo kind! “3 stars because of the 4 RMTs I’ve tried, 3 did give very good massages, and there is free parking. As someone who is sensitive to environments and energy, I’m just not comfortable at this clinic. It’s dark and the rooms, painted black, are dingy. The thin white sheet directly atop the vinyl table wasn’t comfortable to lay on (I’m used to there being flannel padding or a heating pad underneath the sheet) and laying underneath a thin white sheet, especially while on my back, left me feeling exposed and cold. One RMT made it clear as soon as I got on the table that his political beliefs were very opposed to what I do for a living, another made inappropriate comments about a medication I take (I shared because he asked), and a third gaslit my back issues, even when I’ve recently been hospitalized and am likely going to require injections. Sadly, the RMT who I found most lovely to interact with, gave the poorest massages.”Read moreShow less
