Been a few times over the past 6 years and it’s absolutely terrible. The little staff they have are extremely rude. And for some reason nurses think they can give you an iv and send you on your way without seeing an actual doctor for an emergency visit. I’ve brought my kids there on a few occasions and they have told me they aren’t equipped to handle children and to drive to CHEO in Ottawa….during an emergency.

This hospital was clean and staff were friendly. Didn't wait long to see the doctor. There was a lot of seats here too.

This hospital knows me very well ,,,The staff and i are on first name basis at ED and second floor ,,,I am so very impressed with all and a special thanks to all for the help,,,They now mostly help me at the Medical day hospital ,,,So much nicer than going threw emerge ,, Kind and caring in my case,,, i call this my second home,,,Not by choice

Here’s an idea, why not put in a machine that takes debit or credit card, when leaving, because who carries cash anymore? Perth hospital is the only place that doesn’t have one!

Just had laser kidney stones surgery there and had a great experience! I was very nervous and self conscious. The team was fabulous they went above and beyond to help keep any way they could. I went in again Thursday to get the stent removed and was warmly greeted by the same nurses as I had in the OR. Can’t say enough good things about you guys from start to finish I had a great experience!

Very Disappointed in my last visit to the Perth emergency department. (Prior has been great) I had surgery in Kingston first week of February after a few weeks the pain was unbearable, I went 2 times over the weekend of family day weekend the February 13 to February 16. First visit was ok, was seen at a reasonable time frame, was helped, I returned 2 days later in the evening with extreme pain and the medication was not helping, I registered which I was not asked why there, a hour later got called to triage nurse did assessment, I waited in in the waiting room for my time I understand the waiting process, however after being there 5 hours I asked the receptionist to see the nurse again for atleast some Tylenol I was litterly in tears, after a hour and a half I was given 2 Tylenol, after 6 hours I was called in to the back, waited 2 hours for doctor to see me, she then prescribed some medication for me, after a hour I received a injection for pain! The doctor then came back to talk to me about the processs, she proceeded to tell me that this was my second visit to the emergency department and they can’t help me anymore, that is pain continues that I should not return to Perth hospital but to go to Kingston, I was very thrown back by this, The doctor made me feel like I was a bother, and clearly didn’t understand the pain I was in! I told her I would have seen the surgeon who did my surgery however it’s the weekend and they are closed! This is very disappointing to be told to not return to a hospital emergency department but to go elsewhere.. what has our health care system come to!

Worst experience I have ever had at an emergency room in my life. Myself and my partner were brought here after a bad car accident due to weather. They didn’t treat us with compassion or care. They didn’t treat us like we were two traumatized people who needed help. They left us in pain and covered in blood for hours. They didnt give us any food or water despite being there for 12 hours. They refused to give me a bed even though I had just been in a car accident and I slept, covered in bruises, on the hospital floor. They made insensitive jokes and belittled us when we talked about our pain. They forced us to carry our own bags even though I was in a cervical collar and my partner was in a wheelchair. When I finally asked for help, they complained about helping. They discharged me without even telling me and without fully assessing my injuries. They failed to give my partner aftercare instructions for one of his treatments and we had to figure out how to care for his wounds ourselves. Honestly this night was one of the worst nights of my life and the hospital made it even worse and more traumatizing. If I were having a life threatening emergency near Perth I would probably rather risk driving all the way to Ottawa for care rather than go here again. Editing to add - we just found out that they ignored or failed to diagnose my partners serious concussion. Had to go to another ER for worsening symptoms over a week later where they did a CT scan and found swelling and trauma to the brain.

Unfortunately I had the necessity to go to Emerge a week ago with sudden health crisis. From the first moment I encountered only kindness and compassion at every level. Dr Drummond was exceptionally kind and sympathetic. The best part, I was out of there within the hr. Very grateful for everyone associated with this fine hospital. 5 stars

I arrived at the hospital by paramedic on Sunday, Oct 12 in extreme pain. My meds were no longer working and I hadn't been able to eat for several days. My treatment in the ED was absolutely stellar. The staff were quick to recognize my situation and the 2 doctors I dealt with were very detailed and empathetic. I was admitted to the 3rd floor in isolation for 5 nights and was discharged on Oct 17. During that time the care I received was excellent. I want to thank Gen, Amy, Natasha, Nicole, Teagan, and Curtis for their care and concern and their ability to put up with me as the level of pain at times made me difficult to deal with. I also want to thank Dr. Kuchinad and Resident Bleadon Anderson for finding the mix of medications that worked for me. A heart filled thank-you to each and every one of you!!! Chris
