What l have to say needs to be acknowledged. It is about employee loyalty. JEN MARTEL. KITCHEN STAFF At 5 a.m during the worse winter storm ever experienced In my lifetime here in B.R. On. I saw the above mentioned walking up the street to meet her husband Donny waiting for her to help her in the truck and bring her to work for breakfast as usual would be as usual. I am one of her neigbours. What a labour of love for the residence of LongTerm Care Golden Birches of which my husband is being facilitated there. Shout of gratitude to both husband and wife teamwork Sincerely Edith Beckett

Went to this hospital after a water accident. I was the only person in the waiting room, yet it took me 4.5 hours to talk to a doctor. My husband went into the back to see what was taking so long, the doctor was sitting there playing on her phone and snacking. I understand she has 12 hour shifts, but why not give me 5 minutes of your time before you take a break.. I was the only person there. She told me nothing was wrong and sent me home with 4 tylenol (which i got a $5 fee in the mail for). The next day I went to the sudbury hospital and had an X-Ray and CT scan done within 1.5 hours.. and I had 3 broken ribs. I sure feel bad for the blind river residents..

My grandma is currently in this hospital, nearing end of life. The staff have been amazing. My grandma's last wish was to pass at ARCH. Unfortunately, there isn't any beds there. The staff's level of care and compassion is far superior to the Sault Area Hospital. Even though she may not make it to ARCH, she is at least in a place with kind and caring staff.

I don't have a family doctor and there are no walk in clinics in blind river so I went to the hospital for my medical issues. I had 4 issues to deal with. After waiting for 5 hours, I was finally seen by a doctor. He said that he was not a family doctor and that I had to pick 1 out of the 4 issues that I felt was the most important because he was not able to help me with anything else. I am not very impressed by that. I am sure that I am not the only person in the area without a family doctor so my question is this, are we not allowed to get proper medical care at a hospital because we can't get a family doctor.

If u have a basic health problem go here, if you have an advanced problem that requires top end highly educated doctors head south. For preventive health care head south. They will catch whatever ls wrong with you when your farther advanced they don't have the knowledge to catch anything prior.

I spent 3 nights in this hospital and had the best care ever. I cannot say enough good things about the staff which started in the emerge. A huge thank you to the best nurse in Acute care Suzanne!! She went above and beyond for me and my care. Thank you, thank you, thank you !! Also to the angel nurse that brought me nice cold water at 5 am every morning when I sure needed it .

Been waiting in this room for 30 minutes, arrived at 2 :30pm. All we are looking for today is a pregnancy test confirmation and an estimate of how far along my partner is. No one coming to us to talk or fill us in on timeframes even when asked.

Arrived at 7 am and still hadn't seen a doctor by 9 am. Note...there were NO other patients waiting. Our healthcare system is a joke. Disgusting to watch staff giggling and drinking coffee while patients are waiting for medical care.

I know people will probably slam the health centre because they tend to only write reviews when something goes wrong or if you think something should have been done differently. I have to say that yes, over the the years seen things, nurses and psws putting their feet up on the desk at the nurses stations, a student doctor who wasn't taught bedside manners when she asked about a do not resuscitate for my dad when he came in with a bladder infection . But honestly there has mostly been such wonderful people helping. The nurses, psws, volunteers. They are all terrific and have done nothing but take the best care of my mother in all the times that we be had to come. The palliative care person Jamie has been wonderful and we have had nothing but kindness and care from everyone even if they get dragged in in the middle of the night like the X-ray tech (Jeff-apologies if I got his name wrong) The only things I can fault right now- The paid parking really sucksand they could do a better job clearing the snow on site (they had to also evacuate because the roof has too much snow) but other than that it's been terrific.
