“Had lab work done and it was a time sensitive situation as I was dealing with a fertility clinic out in ottawa (but I was able to get certain testing done here in our home town). Long story short, they got my requisition and booked me 2 weeks out? Finally got in, and they mentioned my results would come in 1-2 days. Fast forward to 3 days later I called and emailed them because my results never came in. They said it was still pending. Waited a few more days and called and they mentioned the blood got lost. How is it pending and now lost? So I had to retake the blood of course and they said the next date is 2 weeks away (again). Needless to say, I traveled to timmins and the job got done, wish I went there originally, the hospital in cochrane is such a joke. Now whenever any family member needs medical attention or blood work, we go to SRF or Timmins.”Read moreShow less

“Hi. Been dealing with a little bill I got in the mail. It's for 15.00. I have no idea what for. So I call the number on the bill. I've called 7 times in the last month and 1/2. The woman Sara still has not returned my calls and told me what bill is for. I can't pay a bill for something I don't know what is. “Worst hospital I have ever been to. Here for over 10 hours for a simple prescription renewel. There was only 6 people ahead of me. Absolutely ridiculas.”

“Go see a doctor sit there for 6 hours, and then they tell you. Hes going home because hes been working 16 hours and 3 emergencies come in. “The only hospital I’ve ever been too that actually turns you away at emerge and tells you to come back the next day because there’s no doctor. I’ve given this hospital and the staff the benefit of the doubt WAY too many times and I simply cannot bite my tongue anymore. Absolutely unbelievable, pathetic and honestly embarrassing healthcare service. I’ve seen more people walk out of this hospital exhausted from 6+ hour waits than the amount of people actually go into emerge to be treated. It’s as if we’re expected to just have 24 hours of free time 7 days a week, no work or commitments. I’ve experienced healthcare in other towns and cities across Ontario, from SRF, Timmins, Ottawa, Toronto, Thunderbay etc and NEVER have I experienced anything like what’s going on in this town. The fact this has never been addressed regardless of complaints and ridiculous wait times should have a lot of people worried with the negligence shown. The staff bank on you being 100% complacent on waiting indefinitely considering the fact that no one makes formal complaints about the service. We need to hold our healthcare systems accountable, and we need to be honest and transparent about blatant issues with our healthcare systems complete disregard for these types of complaints.”Read moreShow less

“We came at 2 pm and waited till 10:17 pm and we left without seeing any doctor. What kind of service is this? Do they have any consideration about patient or just like to watch people waiting in suffering by making all kinds of excuses? I don’t think anyone could wait for this long without seeing a doctor and going back home. This is really frustrating. Must improve. Also I felt discriminated as an Asian. They were speaking French between themselves in small chat while communicating with us. Very disappointed. Also they are very impatient while talking with us. Also they asked me about my religion and I don’t know how is it related with my health condition and they were very impatient while I asked them to explain. Everyone else got to see a doctor other than us, some even came hours after us, how is it possible that everyone is having more emergency other than us?”Read moreShow less

“Everytime I come here it’s horrible and no matter when or what time of the day it is, it’s always a minimum 6 hour wait regardless of the hospital is full or empty with paciants”
