“I first started seeing Dr. Zhang when I was struggling with a persistent cough that seemed to return every month after a cold or flu. The coughing would continue day and night, and despite trying everything from prescription medications, allergy treatments, inhalers, and over-the-counter remedies, nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. After deciding to visit Dr. Zhang, he prescribed a herbal treatment, and to my surprise, my cough was gone within just a few days. The improvement was remarkable. Since then, I have been seeing Dr. Zhang for almost a year for various health concerns. Most recently, I experienced significant pain in my shoulders and, on another occasion, in my arm. In both cases, after only one or two acupuncture sessions, the pain was about 99% resolved. I was hesitant to try acupuncture for a long time, but I'm very glad I did. With his decades of experience, Dr. Zhang's technique is quick, precise, and most of the time completely painless. What I also appreciate about this clinic is the friendly service and flexible hours. Dr. Wang always greets patients with a warm welcome, and despite having a steady flow of back-to-back appointments, I've rarely had to wait. If you're considering acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine, I would highly recommend Dr. Zhang and his team. “I highly recommend Kindness Acupuncture Center. I first came here for lower back pain after trying other acupuncture clinics that didn’t really help. The combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine here worked very quickly for me, and I felt a big improvement in a short time. Since then, I’ve kept coming back and have been treated here for about a year and a half. Both practitioners are very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They really listen to your concerns and make you feel cared for. The prices are also much more reasonable compared with many other places. “I was referred to Kindness Acupuncture Center about two years ago by a friend, and since then, my entire family has become loyal patients of the clinic. Mr. Zhang is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and highly skilled. After just a few visits combining Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture, I fully recovered and didn’t need to return for almost a year. Recently, I experienced new symptoms that didn’t improve even after two rounds of antibiotics. However, after only a few days of Chinese medicine and two acupuncture sessions, my symptoms improved significantly. The clinic itself is clean, well-organized, and very peaceful. Another big plus is that the doctors can communicate fluently in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which makes the experience even more comfortable. “We have been patients at Kindness Acupuncture for several years now, and we cannot say enough positive things about this clinic. Dr. Zhang and his wife are a compassionate and highly knowledgeable husband and wife team who treat every patient with genuine care and respect. The clinic is always clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully maintained, creating the perfect atmosphere for healing and recovery. Their services, including acupuncture and cupping therapy, have consistently made a meaningful difference for our family. Along with academic stress, our daughter has also been managing anxiety and lingering post-COVID symptoms such as tinnitus. The treatments she receives here have brought her so much relief. She attends one of the most rigorous academic universities in the country, and during exam season we turned to Kindness Acupuncture for additional support. Not only did the acupuncture help with her stress and tension, but it also provided a space where she felt safe, seen, and cared for. The name of this clinic truly reflects the heart of their practice. They live up to it in every way. However, on Saturday April 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, something happened that we will unfortunately never forget. While waiting for her appointment, our daughter, who is naturally bright, cheerful, and respectful, accidentally spoke a little louder than usual. Immediately, a Chinese woman and her husband, who appeared to be Middle Eastern or possibly Iranian, responded in a way that was extremely rude and unnecessary. The woman sharply told our daughter to be quiet and continued to scold her even after she politely apologized. The way she spoke to our daughter was condescending and humiliating. It left her in tears. When we calmly addressed the situation, the woman offered a dismissive apology and claimed our daughter was too sensitive. It was disappointing and heartbreaking. It costs nothing to be kind, and no one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially not a young person going through stress and anxiety. People who behave this way should take time to reflect, because projecting personal misery onto others does not solve anything. A little empathy can go a long way. Thankfully, Dr. Zhang witnessed what happened and stepped in right away to comfort and reassure our daughter. His kindness and compassion in that moment reminded us exactly why we place so much trust in this clinic. His care goes far beyond medical treatment. It is grounded in empathy, humanity, and a true desire to help people heal. Since then, we have chosen to visit during weekday hours to avoid the possibility of encountering the same individuals again. But we want to be very clear. This incident does not reflect the clinic or its staff in any way. Everyone at Kindness Acupuncture has always been lovely, professional, and respectful. This continues to be a safe and welcoming place for our family. If you are considering acupuncture, cupping therapy, or traditional Chinese medicine, we wholeheartedly recommend Kindness Acupuncture.
