“My family have dealt with Gord Dewar at Kensington physio for over 20 years. He has helped with everything from rehab from various surgeries, rehab for the aftermath of some major and minor accidents and some just 'getting older' bad back/hip matters. Gord is extremely knowledgeable and his assessments are on the mark. He clearly explains the injury issue and provides a knowledgeable recovery using his treatments and exercises to do at home to help speed recovery. He is competent, friendly and professional and he has a no nonsense approach to rehab with is refreshing. The office has a nice welcoming atmosphere and the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend Kensington physio.”Read moreShow less

“New Alberta Master's record! Thank you Gord for all of your help in dealing with my various injuries as I train again at a higher level at an older age. I was national team, retired for about 15 years , now training again and looking for more records to beat, both Alberta and Canadian.”Read moreShow less

“I have been under the care of a chiropractor for about 10 months with a lower back problem. After 10 months I wasn't any better if anything I felt worse. I decided to give physiotherapy a try and that's when I met Gord. Gord took one look at my back and pinpointed the exact area that was giving me the problems. After a few weeks of treatment I am now pain-free and moving around a lot better than I had been in the past year. Thank you Gord for all you've done for me. I highly recommend Kensington physiotherapy and acupuncture. Gord and his team are awesome.”Read moreShow less

“I put a one star reviewer earlier. They responded on the comment, sorry to hear that We take this seriously. Talk us to discuss. I called, the reception didn't have a clue who put the response (probably AI) I shared my concern and she said she should run. She didn't get back to me. So that's the quality of care they provide and quality of customer service. Gord has been the worst physiotherapist I've been to. Didn't bother to call and apologize”Read moreShow less

“I came into the clinic with pain in my lower back that had been persisting for weeks. Gord honed in on the issue immediately and helped me by teaching practical and simple exercises and stetches that strengthen my lowback. After a month and a half of regular session, I was pain free, feeling stronger, and moving forward knowing the exercises/stretches that works. Thank you Gord! An update to my review: I visited the Kensington Physio & Acupuncture clinic once again as I had finally decided to tackle a long-standing issue with my shoulder that I had injured when I was younger. It limited my arm mobility and back then I had simply 'hoped' my shoulder would heal back to its full range. Gord sympathized with me and did not judge my youthful naivety and decision-making. He demonstrated his ability to determine the root cause of the problem on the first visit. Throughout the following sessions, he provided simple and effective exercises to slowly improve my shoulder and arm mobility. I feel like my shoulder is stronger and have regained my full range of arm motion. I continue to add Gord's simple exercises to my workout routine because it keeps my body feeling strong and healthy. Thanks again Gord. I am grateful to you and your team and glad you folks are part of the Kensington Community.”Read moreShow less

“I have an autoimmune disease that was misdiagnosed when I was younger. Due to poor doctor work, I’ve been a long term corticosteroid user, that as a result destroyed my knees and ankles, along with heavy muscle shrinkage. I started seeing Gord and Kensington physio a few years ago because I could barely walk 10 minutes without experiencing intense pain from range of motion issues and physiological issues. Fast forward to today, and after seeing Gord regularly, I am now walking close to 10k steps a day, can golf twice a week, and the body is recovering a lot quicker for daily wear and tear. I give him my highest recommendation if you are looking to make a meaningful and lasting impact to your health.”Read moreShow less
