Family member from Australia presented by ambulance with a broken arm, X rated and advised to get home asap to have ct scan and consult surgeon. Despite having insurance information, and surely knowing the process, didn't provide medical report to share with insurance, then when asked by insurance to provide, to be told a day later, records department doesn't open for three days and reception closes soon!! Expected to wait around for three days, probably submit a request to get the report, wait to get the report and maybe know what to do next. My advice to others, demand a copy of your medical report before leaving!!

Serves a community of 4,500 residents, 10,000 people with 30 km, plus 5,000 part-timers, it has excellent service, and STARS helicopter emergency lift to Calgary. Excellent staff and doctors.

Wonderful staff including paramedic, night shift nurse and night shift doctor. I have not experienced such a great service in Canada before! Paramedic escorted us from Panorama Mountain Resort to the hospital. They helped my wife to carry our baby while I was dealing with our 4 years old. They quickly admitted our daughter. The nurse and doctor were very friendly, professional, and experienced. Well done! We are so impressed. Many thanks again!

My family took me to this hospital when I had severe pain in my stomach and overall in general. When I came in my wife just told them it was an emergency through their phones and we got help. My English is pretty torn since I’m not Canadian and actually new here and the nurses were kind enough to help and explain. I’m very happy with my experience and when I left I was actually not hurting anymore.

Based on reviews I read, I was quite scared to come here. But it turned out to one of the best experiences I've ever had in a hospital. The ER was really fast taking us in about 10 minutes after we walked into the reception room. The nurses were kind and corporated with me and my family. They were fast and got right into it and after about 3 hours we were out healthy. It was an overall good experience especially when we had an emergency on our first day of vacation.

Horrible. The nurse on nights was absolutely rude. She treated me as if I was a nuisance and not a patient coming for care. The hospital floor was dirty and there were pill bugs running around both in the check in area while getting assessed as well as the room I was put into. While I was in there another call came from the emergency door and she walked past my place going "Jesus Christ" under her breath and dramstic sighs before buzzing the person in. Rude, unprofessional and I feel sorry for BC health care. I forgot how bad you have it out here. Go anywhere but here.

I’ve been a frequent flyer at this hospital for the past couple weeks due to an injury. Staff have been very friendly and helpful each visit and it was pretty fast to be seen by a doctor. Nurses even remember me which is nice. Doctors are able to refer you to other professionals when injury is beyond their scope. Good communication. I quite like this hospital.

I brought my husband here when he collapsed at his workplace due to severe back pain, he could not even stand up or move without having a pain, and they took 6hrs for them to just send us home. Doctor Russel even commented that “not to be racist, but we have been dealing with different culture and they demonstrate different pain” what does the culture has to do with his back pain?? I did not expect this from a Doctor who was supposed to be doing social services without discrimination. She also quoted “not that I am insulting you but seems like your pain tolerance is less” OH MY GOD. I was shookt by her statements in front of me and my husband. I wish I have any other way to report this incident as Doctors are expected to be more helpful and understanding and not to be judgemental. She sent us back home and my husband could not even walk properly and they said they cannot do anything. At 3am the next day my husband woke me up and wanting to call 911 again for ambulance but not confident to be in the hospital. Very poor medical system. After few days, I came back to return the walker, the lady in the front just said “you put it there” and turned her back. Very rude. I wish it is easy to reply with rudeness but we chose to be much more educated and just walk away.

I came in with terrible expectations based on other reviews. However, I felt more care for here than I ever was in Calgary ! People were very nice and caring even though my situation was at the bottom of the list in terms of urgency. Saw a doctor within 1hr

Absolutely the best care I have ever received in a medical facility. I walked in and was greeted quickly by Katelyn, who took care of me and made my wife and I feel comfortable. Dr. Gooch was very professional and updated me quickly after ever test and lab result. I have always heard Canadian Social Medicine was horrible, but I can attest that the Inveremere Hospital and medical staff that were assigned to me were better than any I have received in the United States. The initial contact with Katelyn was comforting because she was concerned about my welfare, professional and informed. No administrative clerk around making sure that I had insurance or a way to pay for the treatment, in fact no one ever asked how or if I could pay for treatment until I was released by the Doctor.
