“If you’re dealing with pain and think “this is just my life now,” do yourself a favour and go see the team at Happy Bones. Their whole approach is about actually listening, understanding what’s going on, and treating the root cause not just the symptoms. You can genuinely feel that they care about getting you back to normal (or better than normal). The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, no clinical coldness, no rush you feel like you’re in good hands the moment you walk in. And when you need help urgently, they’ve been nothing short of amazing at accommodating us, even with last-minute, “this-can’t-wait” situations. We’ve gone in for everything from slipped ribs and torticollis to muscle knots so intense that breathing felt like a bad life decision… and every single time, they’ve delivered. A special shoutout to Heather Macdonald who I’m fairly convinced is part therapist, part detective, and part wizard. She has an incredible ability to identify complex musculoskeletal issues within minutes and then actually fix them. Not “book 6 more sessions and we’ll see,” but real, tangible improvement almost immediately. Case in point: just yesterday, our daughter (a high-performance athlete) could not take a deep breath without excruciating pain. We drove over hoping anyone there might help (because honestly, the whole team is fantastic). Heather stepped in, asked a few quick questions, and within minutes with a few precise adjustments and what can only be described as magic hands our daughter was breathing pain-free and ready for practice. It’s that level of expertise and confidence that keeps us coming back. And beyond the treatment itself, Heather always brings great conversation and interesting insights. Our eldest daughter would probably say it’s a 50/50 split between getting fixed and enjoying the conversation and life lessons. “Highly recommend Heather, to any new mommas out there! I started to take my son to Heather, when he was 2 months old. He has oral ties (not severe enough to need surgical intervention but definitely impacting tongue mobility). I also noticed tension in one side of his body, especially with tummy time. After going to Heather and implementing some excercises Heather recommended for my son, there is a significant increase in my son's tongue mobility and noticeably less tension in his body. He now latches better, sleeps better and enjoys tummy time! At 4 months, I continue to take him to Heather as I have seen significant improvement for him and more sleep for me because of it all!
