“I have been going to the Cataraqui Dental Centre for over 35 years, since the offices were in the Cataraqui Town Centre. I was Tom Holmes' patient for most of those years, and then he went and retired!! It has taken me some time to get used to my new dentist, but my visit today sealed the deal; I'm staying with Dr. Levac at the Cataraqui Dental Centre. I had a bit of an emergency, and was given a timely appointment. I got pleasant, caring and professional service from all the staff with whom I came in contact. The enormous needles at the dentist make me nervous, and it was one of the most painless freezings I've ever had. I had a broken tooth and needed a filling and a crown... most times, it takes a little time to get used to either of these things, as they never seem to feel the same as your original tooth, and one feels like the bite is "off." I can't tell that there's a foreign object in my mouth. Kudos to Dr. Levac; thank you so very much!”Read moreShow less

“We've been with this facility since we were children, the staff have always been kind and understanding. Left for college and received absolutely no judgement years later when we returned. The desk staff are super helpful with insurance forms and the dental staff have always been kind and super understanding going as far as to make accommodations for our light sensitivity and anxiety. “I had a great experience having all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. McDonough and his team. From start to finish, they made me feel comfortable and at ease, taking the time to answer all of my questions and explain the process clearly. The procedure itself went very smoothly, and I was honestly surprised by how easy the recovery was... I experienced no pain or swelling afterward. It was one of the best dental experiences I’ve had. “I highly recommend Dr. McDonough, Sharon [Treatment Coordinator], the Dental Hygienists, and all the staff at Cataraqui Dental Centre. I have received outstanding dental care there for decades now. I have always greatly appreciated their professionalism, expertise, genuine caring, and integrity. When I preferred a specific dental hygienist, they matched me up with that person at each of my appointments. When I was anxious about my root canal, they kindly shared all possible options and supported whatever decision I felt was best for me. They are up-to-date on current procedures, and communicate information clearly and effectively. They truly go above and beyond for their patients when offering their time, advice, and guidance with difficult dental decisions. When offering options, they take into consideration patient preferences, and the costs involved. The staff are kind, friendly, and efficient during my regular appointments-routine cleanings and check-ups. They focus on preventative care. The dental office environment is very well organized, comfortable and clean, and bright and sunny! Location is convenient and parking is located right beside the building. “Families with elderly relatives should be very vigilant when dealing with this office. There is a concerning lack of professional distance between some administrative staff and vulnerable senior patients. We have attempted to address these specific conflict-of-interest concerns with the owners/management, but they have chosen to ignore the issue. A dental office should be a place of clinical care, not a place where staff attempt to build personal relationships with patients outside of professional requirements.
