“From the start, I was greeted with a friendly handshake outside and into a short intake form, and a small conversation of what I was hoping to get out of the session. I was led to a nice cozy room with a comfortable table. The massage itself was an experience. It felt almost like a dance with no movements wasted (except to turn down the music during an ad, which Hugo said he was going to have to re-subscribe to get rid of them) while also being impactful. There were different techniques which I learned their names but forgot, but basically there was some shaking of the muscles like I was on a tumble cycle, some light but directed pressure and movements, and some larger stretching and deeper tissue moments. But the whole time I did feel comfortable and I could tell Hugo was attentive, cared about doing the movements effectively, and really tuned into my body. Yeah he did a great job I thought. Like patiently waiting to apply pressure on exhales. And he also did a good job of reminding me to breathe and at times when I was guarded that it was safe (something I was even telling myself at the time). The music was memorable because it was like the same notes over and over, but in like a meditation-spa like setting. Anyway, overall I felt incredibly energized, peaceful, grounded afterwards. There was only one hiccup which is he only accepted cash or bank transfer, and being out of Canada myself, I had to track down cash or what I ended up doing was using an app to do the transfer. It worked out OK, but was a bit inconvenient! Thanks Hugo, good luck with your future, you're killing it!”

“I enjoyed this unique "California" massage. It wasn't a traditional massage but it helped my body to relax. I have scoliosis amongst other irregularities and he did a great job addressing any painful spots. I have truly never met someone as passionate about their job as Hugo. He takes his work very seriously. It is clear to see his passion about massage. He is passionate and incredibly respectful. If you want a massage, go to Hugo then do the thermal circuit at Bota Bota. My body has never felt this pain-free.”
