“The 1 star being given is for Nicole, not the clinic itself as Dr. Malette is amazing and so is Isabelle, the hygienist, as well as the other staff I have come across, including the staff at the front desk! I’ve had positive experiences at this clinic in the past, but my most recent visit for a cleaning with Nicole was disappointing. From the start, I was told that my teeth would probably not all be cleaned during the appointment. Throughout the cleaning, she was extremely aggressive to the point where it felt like someone was drilling into my mouth. X-rays were also taken during this same appointment, and about 40 minutes into it, she informed me she needed to stop because she did not have time to finish. The clinic still had 20 minutes before closing, yet I was rushed out with incomplete work and in a lot of discomfort. I ended up with pain for a couple of days afterward. I returned later to have the remaining cleaning done with Isabelle, who was gentle, professional, and thorough. She reviewed my notes and confirmed that I did not have a heavy buildup that would justify a longer procedure. It is disappointing because I have liked this clinic in the past, but based on this experience, I will not be returning to Nicole and I strongly recommend booking with someone else. “Dr. Malette is a warm and dedicated Dentist who cares about her patients and practice high standard of dental care. My most recent experience has validated this belief. I visited the clinic to have a crown set on the very back tooth. When the crown was placed on my tooth Dr. Malette evaluated that the color did not match and the detail of the tooth shape was not as expected. Before I knew it, the decision was made to remake the crown. I go to the dentist with very little knowledge, and trust in their honesty and hope they have my best interests. I have been to several dental offices and although I was provided with good service it was not as knowledgeable and honest as I experienced at Dr. Malette’s office. “I have been visiting Blackburn Dental for over 3 years now and the services that I have received are excellent. The staff is really friendly and professional. They upgraded the place recently, and its fantastic and state-of-the-art. Also, it shows that they are doing a great job and want to offer more to their clients.
