“My Mom has lived here for the last 10 years. The level of service and commitment from management has dropped significantly during that time. The staff is still great and many of them are the bright spots of my Mom's day which is my reason for a 3-star rating. However, management cuts corners and cares more about the bottom line then anything else. If looking to place a loved one here, please be aware, the picture painted for you is not the reality. For example, the lease agreement will likely mention something about a residence provided bus. That bus hasn't been on the road since mid-November. They will tell you it is out for repair. They won't mention that this happens every year at the same time. And residents who rely on it for transportation for personal shopping during the Christmas season have few other options. Complaints fall on deaf ears. In fact, I was basically told that if I was hearing stories from my Mother, she may have her facts wrong. The sad part is I was repeating facts provided to me by a staff member. Bottom line on Lakeside Retirement is "Caveat Emptor" - Buyer Beware!”
