“Dr .VanTonder is the best out there. He’s so kind and caring and shares real life experiences. I swear I am there so often because of my son and they are always welcoming. “I have been a patient of this clinic for almost 20 years. They have seen me through 6 children, losses, minor sicknesses and now serious illness and I have always been met with much concern, attentiveness, and accommodation. They have gone above and beyond and treat us like family. It takes a simple conversation to understand how many thousands of patients they try to accommodate with unique challenges within our system. There truly are things that are either out of their control or very difficult to manage while trying to care for as many people as they can.”Read moreShow less

“The blonde receptionist is the absolute rudest person to have as the face of your clinic. I haven’t returned since having to wait over 3 hours, being left naked from the waist down, for a scheduled Pap test . pretty sure they forgot about me. It was an absolute horrifying experience. And could Dr Von Tonder be in any more of a hurry while talking to a patient. Always so rushed, coming in and out, literally trying to walk away and close the door while I’m in mid sentence. “So I missed an appointment months ago. My wife and I were very sick with the flu. My wife was supposed to call and cancel my appointment but she forgot.. understandably she was very sick too.. so when I came in I was approached by a very rude miserable reception lady about a $40 no show fee that had to be paid now, cash only!! Lol who carries cash now a days! Well I didn’t have cash, I asked if I could bring it next time. She then yells at me to use the ATM next door!! Umm NO! So now I’m paying $45 with the atm fees. I had no problem paying the $40, I get it I missed the appointment my bad! And I had full intentions on bringing the cash on my next appointment. Until I was verbally attacked being lead to my “closet” for check in, where the assistant Yells at me for not paying my $40 fee. So now I’m the low life native that is no longer welcome here and my appointment’s will no longer be accepted! As she very rudely slammed the door and stormed off?? I’m sitting there like what the heck just happened??? Very disappointing!! I have been coming here for 15 yrs and these women have always been rude and ignorant to me and many others! I then noticed I left my phone on the seat in the waiting room when I went out to grab it I heard her and the dr assistant saying we Natives cause the most problems and we should have our own Medicare on our own reservations! Like really! They were naming the medications I was on and calling me down where the entire waiting room could hear them. They laughed about putting me in a room they call “the closet”. I guess that’s where they put us low life Natives, And make us wait until everyone else is served! I sat for over an hr!! Usually in and out in 15mins! But now I’m on the dirty list! What a joke!! Guess I’m getting a new doctor! Too bad because Dr V isn’t bad, just his help are a bunch of racist women!! What a disappointment in our little town!! These lady’s need to be fired!! I’m glad to see people are leaving reviews about this place and their employees! I have been in talks with alberta health services and have filled a complaint against these people! The more complaints they get the sooner they can be replaced! It’s really to bad that there is still so much racism in this world.
