“The clinic and staff exude a calm energy which is felt when you walk in the door. I have had several different physical issues and have been a client frequently. Fiona MacKenzie is the physiotherapist that I see and she has helped me overcome my problems. She is easy to talk to and spends time really listening to her clients. She is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to helping her clients improve. Fiona always explains the process and next steps in relation to diagnosis and treatment. She has the greatest analogies to help the client visualize how the body functions, how to do the exercises correctly and how rehab exercises impact the body. “I went in after having years of pain and having seen multiple professionals and another physiotherapist recommended her. Fiona reduced most of my pain in the first visit which was life changing. I'm now able to drive, work, sleep and do so many things pain free that I thought would never happen again. I can never express my gratitude. “I recently had my 2nd total knee replacement in April 2025. (I had my first in March 2024.) My husband recommended York Rehab and that is where I found Fiona MacKenzie, physiotherapist extraordinaire! Her knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm for what she does translates to an intense, but enjoyable workout. I truly appreciate everything she did for me. I enjoyed learning more about the anatomy of the situation while being able to discuss my feelings. “I recently spent 3 month with Fiona MacKenzie at York rehab doing physio for a knee replacement. She has been my rock! She is so knowledgeable in terms of all aspects of surgical procedures including what is required to be successful in the healing process as well as what to look for and how to care for all aspects of pre and post surgery. It was not just the physio with her. She treats the whole person in a very professional and caring way. I would and have highly recommend her. She has worked with many of the surgeons at Southlake and knows what is required to support her clients. “We had a great experience with Fiona. She takes the time to diagnose each injury before suggesting a treatment plan. For a knee issue, she investigated what was happening during the initial assessment. She suggested changes to my posture instead of a long treatment plan. The knee issue cleared up in a week.
