“I went for a massage a couple days ago. A lovely young lady (who advised me it was her first day of work) checked me in and asked if I was still with the same insurance company. I answered yes. After the massage when I went to pay I was told I owed the full amount. I said I had been there before and only had to pay $7 and the rest was paid by insurance. Since the receptionist was new she went to ask someone for help. The owner came out and walked her through the process and it still came up saying I owed the full amount. Again I explained that I was covered by insurance. The owner told me sometimes audits are done and customers need to submit forms online as there is a lot of insurance fraud. I went home and tried to submit my claim online. Once again it showed “declined”. I thought this was odd as I had been there 3 times previously. I called my insurance company who told me that Woodbine House in Spruce Grove (formerly Spa-ology) had been delisted from their eligible companies for undisclosed reasons. My insurance company told me they would have sent notification to Woodbine House advising them of such. I went to Woodbine House yesterday to speak with the owner. The front door was locked and there was a sign saying the technicians were busy with clients and they would open the door “a few minutes before your appointment”. Clearly the owner would have known they were delisted and my insurance would not go through. I also wonder what happened to the new girl who started the day before. My massage therapist who works there is amazing but the owner of this business speaks terribly to her staff (in front of clients). Every time I have gone there has been a new person working the front desk. The first day I went to this spa I was disgusted by the way the owner spoke to her front desk staff.”Read moreShow less

“I had a great experience getting a pedi here staff was great and the service was top tier. My only negative was that my pinky toe on one of my feet ended up having no polish on it within 3 days after the appointment which left me a little disappointed. “I had a wonderful experience at the spa. The staff were excellent, and I really enjoyed the delicious complimentary iced coffee. I highly recommend this spa to anyone. “I’ve been to Spalogy a few times in the past and never had an issue! I was recently there with my mom and we had a great time chatting with the girls, the drinks were lovely, they were very personable and nice. But the services we received were terrible, not going to lie, the worst manicures we have gotten. The polish is bubbly and not smooth, no cuticle work was done. It doesn’t even look like we had a manicure 😕 after spending almost $200 it’s a big disappointment. We will not be coming back.”Read moreShow less
