“I came to the clinic with a suspected eye infection, and even though after a full investigation it turned out not to be the case, I was treated with respect and understanding. Everyone at the front desk are always welcoming and friendly. The eyeglass fitting specialists take their time to ensure a good match and don't pressure you into buying the most expensive frames. “I came to WHEO based on convenience back in 2022 because I lived upstairs. I’ve since moved but continue to go back because due the wonderful service and care of Dr. Strong and the front desk team. My previous optometrist was in Vancouver and she reprimanded me on having eyelash extensions and how they’re terrible for my eyes and is why my eyes are so dry. Instead of offering a solution she just told me it’s my fault and I should stop my extensions. When I saw Dr. Strong, he said I have dry eyes due to plugged glands (likely caused by my lashes- no surprised here) and suggested more lubricant eyedrops and to use them daily, and if possible use heat packs on eyes when I have time. He was a professional and he did not critique or intrude on my lifestyle/eyelash choices. Additionally, there was no upsell or pressure to purchase anything from the clinic. If you wanted help or pricing, it was there and available. Lastly, the front desk/receptionist was super helpful— I needed the contacts by next week and instead of taking a risk that it would come by Wednesday, she proactively suggested I get the contacts mailed to me as they were closed on Monday. This simple gesture is customer service at its finest and I’m not surprised this place has hundreds of 5 star ratings. Way to go, WHEO!”Read moreShow less

From the front desk, to the doctor and from the person who assisted me with exams + the other one who patiently showed me some options for frames. “I'm turning 42 and my eyes are starting to show their age. It was my first time at an optometrist. Dr Strong was great. But these $430 reading glasses I ordered have 3 visible defects in them. I can see them, even with my compromised vision. I got the most expensive top-of-the-line lenses. I imagine this must represent MULTIPLE failures in the supply chain. There should have been quality assurance at lens production, lens trimming/glasses assembly, and by the fitter at this practice (at the very least). I'm going to bring them back, but the fact that these got into my hands like this is frankly worrisome and disappointing. FOLLOW UP: I paid a visit, and spoke to Waseem about the lens. He explained that the ring shaped spots were normal, not defects. They are remnants from the manufacture of custom ground and coated glasses. He showed me another sample that had them as well. He assured me that he checks all pairs of glasses, and that the lens I had were very high quality, and the most durable that they have. Nonetheless, he said if I didn't like them would give me a full refund. I do not have a lot of experience with glasses, but I trust Waseem, so I decided to keep the glasses. Apart from the tiny spots, they are quite nice and I do like them. I appreciate that Waseem listened patiently, and made a sincere, personal effort to satisfy my concern.
