“I love this hospital. This hospital is where I always go if I have any tests or any emergency situations or anything like that I like it always super clean always really helpful staff that are always ready to help out whenever you need wait times are a little bit long, but that’s normal for any hospital. Facilities are really clean just one thing that is a minor caviar the amount of doors that you need to get through it’s kind of excessive and also some of the doors to like let’s get out of the emergency room waiting room like to get into the emergency room remaining room or ID locked so you gotta wait for someone to open it but that’s no big deal really”Read moreShow less

“There is jo way to give this trust and hospital give minus or negative reviews less than one star. The emergency doctor and staff are totally full of self obsessed and unethical. No values, do not care for others life. You are just a way to make money for them. Doctor went for some procedure that was done in 20 minutes and completed in 20 minutes heard saying that amongst staff but doctor who is on duty in emergency gone for more than 2 hours after doing a 20 minutes procedure and staff do not even care to ask where is he? After 2 hours they just keep saying that he is on other side and can not tell you what time he will back. They keep talking but no reply. Eventually there are some what better not the best than this emergency and hospital.”Read moreShow less

“Day Surgery Department My day started at 7:30 AM with a phone call to the Day Surgery department. Thank you to Linda for being so helpful and for calling back two hours later with an updated appointment time—your kindness and compassionate voice started my day perfectly. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Joanne, who had me checked in and ready for surgery in no time. Thank you, Joanne, for your efficient and professional service. My pre-surgery nurse, Rachel, got me completely prepared, ensured I was comfortable, and kept me informed every step of the way, which I deeply appreciated. In the operating room, Jessica worked incredibly hard, seamlessly executing the doctor's orders (even though I had no idea what the medical terminology meant!). Unfortunately, we hit a minor setback with the equipment, and I had to be moved to recovery and woken up. Initially, I was a bit frustrated that the procedure couldn't be completed, but that's when I met Tara—the kindest, most patient nurse of the day. Thank you for everything, Tara; you made a two-hour wait fly by. I also want to give a special shout-out to Opal in the Cystoscopy department. She was there when I was successfully treated, and she kindly caught me during an emotional moment. Thank you so much for the hug. Thank you to all the Day Surgery staff for working so hard to keep your patients comfortable. In my opinion, Dr. Rajiv Gupta is without a doubt one of the best urologists in the GTA. He always has a smile, possesses incredible attention to detail, and commands the operating room beautifully. This doctor is a truly remarkable surgeon. He performed my surgery, and my recovery was smooth and minimal. When a doctor is one of the absolute best in his field, his exceptional skill is what truly matters.”Read moreShow less

“I have so much love and appreciation for Etobicoke General Hospital. This is where my daughter was born a year ago, and honestly, the experience was so incredible that it has given me a permanent soft spot for this place! My gynecologist and labor nurse were absolutely AMAZING, everything went so smoothly during such a major moment in my life. Today, I returned for an iron infusion, and once again, the hospital exceeded my expectations. The entire process is incredibly well-structured and easy to follow. Every staff member I’ve encountered has been helpful, kind, and ready to guide me exactly where I need to go. I didn't realize I needed to eat before the infusion, but my nurse was so sweet, she brought me toast with peanut butter and juice. To top it off, they gave me a perfectly warm blanket. It honestly feels like staying at a 5 star hotel! From bringing new life into the world to routine medical care, the team here makes you feel safe, cared for, and looked after. Thank you, Etobicoke General!”Read moreShow less

“The patients placed in the hallways are positioned directly under bright ceiling lights, with their beds located right beneath the pot lights. We spent two nights in these conditions, and the constant bright lighting made it very difficult to rest. Despite requesting assistance from the nursing staff several times, the situation could not be changed because the lights could not be dimmed or turned off. This creates an uncomfortable environment for patients who are already unwell and trying to recover. Hospital management should address this issue and consider solutions that allow hallway patients to rest in a more suitable and humane environment.”Read moreShow less

“It's been a week since I've been at this hospital and now as we are going home with our healthy baby I would like to thank the team here who helped my baby. Labour and Delivery Department- Our Fantastic Gynec Dr. Eve Fried, I have no words to thank you for all your care and service. We are so glad we had you throughout the pregnancy. The team at this ward was great, except for one nurse, Kanwal, who could use a little more empathy towards the patients. First-time parents have their own questions and anxiety so even tho its 2 am you still wanna do your job with a smile and care. Maybe refresh on your communication skills and work on behaviour management. Recovery room- what an amazing caring team. Especially our nurses Urooj and Gloria. Thank you for all the care you took for the mother and baby. ( Admin team- fix the water station in the kitchen plz) Urgent Pediatric Assessment Clinic- Excellent patient care. Dr. Pearl, you are truly amazing Dr and thanks to our nurses on day 1 and day 2. ( Suri, Bre, Juliie and others) I can't thank you guys enough for your support and care you provided to my son. Thank you Etobicoke General Hospital for your service.”Read moreShow less

“The experience of being in a hospital is often not something one contemplates until faced with a medical need. However, my recent admission made me realized the vital role that medical personnel play during such a stay. From the moment I arrived, I was met with attentive care, beginning with the reception desk and continuing with my interaction with Dr. Mezengia and the emergency staff, who efficiently managed my care despite their busy schedules. Their efforts were instrumental in securing a bed for me, given my circumstances. Additionally, nurses Yvonne, Kareena, and Brittany exemplified exceptional care, ensuring that I felt well-supported throughout my stay. Jaime, from the imaging department, was particularly noteworthy, as he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my challenging time. I am grateful for the exemplary service provided to me during my hour of need. Thank you.”Read moreShow less
