“I would like to express my concerns regarding the care my wife received during her labor and delivery. On July 14, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, my wife experienced rupture of membranes (her water broke), and we went to the hospital for assessment. After being evaluated, we were instructed to return home and come back when labor pains became stronger. We left the hospital and returned home. Around 1:00 AM on July 15, my wife began experiencing significant labor pain, and we returned to the hospital at approximately 2:00 AM. Despite her water having already broken several hours earlier, she was not admitted until approximately 3:00 PM on July 15. We were informed that there were no beds available. During this time, we observed other pregnant patients being admitted, which was difficult for us to understand given my wife’s condition. We recognize that all patients require appropriate care and that labor and delivery units can be extremely busy. However, we were concerned that my wife had already experienced rupture of membranes and therefore faced potential risks associated with prolonged time after water breaking. We felt that her situation warranted greater attention and urgency. Our son was eventually born on July 16 and required a vacuum-assisted delivery. We were later informed that there were concerns regarding reduced amniotic fluid. Looking back, we remain concerned about whether the delay in admission and management may have contributed to additional risks for both my wife and our baby. We respectfully request a review of our case and an explanation of the clinical decisions that were made, including the decision to send my wife home after her water broke and the reasons for the delay in admission upon our return to the hospital.”Read moreShow less

“We recently welcomed our baby at this hospital. While some of the nurses were kind, caring, and supportive, our overall experience was disappointing because of the attitude of a few staff members. As new parents, we had many questions, which is completely normal. Unfortunately, some nurses were rude, impatient, and made us feel uncomfortable asking for help. During such an important and emotional time, families deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. We truly appreciate the nurses who were compassionate and took the time to help us. However, we hope the hospital works on providing more consistent, respectful care from all staff so that every family has a positive experience.”Read moreShow less

“I had my delivery in Brampton civic and my experience was really horrible. I don’t blame the hospital but the Doctor only. Her name is Dr. k Ben Omran. She was so rude. I was 40+ weeks pregnant and In the morning I started bleeding so went to the hospital and Dr. Suleman checked me. He can definitely say this that Dr. Suleman is the best doctor. He made me so comfortable and handled the situation very well. After the checkup he told me to come back in the evening for second checkup. When I again visited in the evening I got to know that because Dr. Suleman ended his shift and Dr. Karima ben Omran will be there for further checkup. Because she was a female doctor I thought she would be more gentle and nice with me as being a woman she can understand my situation but she proved me wrong. The minute she entered in my room she started misbehaving with me. Her tone was so rude. I was crying so bad and completely shattered. Decided to not continue the checkup with her. Without realizing the consequences about my condition she told me to go back home. On my delivery day I was praying to get it checked and assist by any other doctor but not her. Unfortunately, the nurse told me that she is the only doctor who is available at that moment. I explained the whole situation to that nurse and requested to not get delivered through her as my experience was so bad. After 2 hours of waiting nurse told there is no other option. I was in active labour and 10cm dilated. Nurse suggested me to talk to her directly to resolve the conflict or go home or any other hospital as they don’t have any other doctor. I requested to talk to the supervisor or any other senior person but she refused. Nurse told the entire thing to Dr. k ben omran and then she entered in labour room and said that whatever she did it was her job. She forced me to spend the whole night in pushing because she knew if anything goes wrong Im not gonna stay silent. She barely visited twice to see me and that also or few second. Nurse explained my situation to her and she completely refused to do anything about it. After spending the whole night in active labour and pushing,I got a another nurse her name was Renu and she told me that a new doctor will come to help me further as Dr. K ben omran’s shift ended. I was so happy when she told me this and I was so lucky I got Dr. Suleman in the next morning. He’s a life saviour for me and my baby. Without further delays,He helped me to delivered my baby within 5 minutes because he himself said that delivery could have done in the night why the night doctor waited so long because my condition was really critical. I’m so thankful to him. I can’t even explain in words. I wish the hospital get more doctor like him and they should take a strict action against Dr. k ben. I checked online it was not only with me but I saw multiple negative comments about her. She did this within multiple people.”Read moreShow less

“We recently welcomed our daughter, June 5, 2026, and overall we are grateful for the care we received during our stay. The nurses and staff in the maternity and postpartum units were compassionate, attentive, and supportive during an important time for our family. However, our experience in the labor and delivery triage area was extremely disappointing. We felt that our concerns were not always taken seriously, communication could have been better, and the level of empathy we received did not meet our expectations. During pregnancy and labor, families are often anxious and looking for reassurance, and a more patient and compassionate approach would have made a significant difference. Despite our concerns regarding triage, we appreciate the dedication of the staff who cared for us afterward and helped ensure a safe delivery and recovery. “One of the worst most neglected hospitals in ontario they get so overwhelmed hallway healthcare is standard for me and majority of time ive been there the premier promised us a new hospital for years in Brampton to help alleviate brampton civics burden yet all we hear is dealys on the project to build the new hospital. Myself my symptoms and illness often requires me to go back into the er a second time because the doctor is often overwhelmed and doesn't have enough resources and capacity to take care of each patient properly. Premier ford and the conservatives are to blame for our hospitals lack of support and Bramptons delays in building the second hospital he is corrupt and making it hard for Brampton civic to be the best it can be Mississauga gets 3 and all these years brampton only gets 1 hospital?”Read moreShow less

“I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Brampton Civic Hospital. While it’s often easy to focus on negative situations when things don’t go as expected, I believe it’s just as important to recognize positive experiences and the people behind them. I was at the hospital for approximately four hours for a minor surgical procedure to remove a tooth. I was especially pleased that my procedure began right on time, exactly as scheduled, which I greatly appreciated. Throughout my visit, the support staff, nurses, and doctors were consistently professional, kind, and attentive. Their level of care made a meaningful difference, and I felt supported and well taken care of every step of the way. “Staff needs to be more trained & compassionate This is our first time there & we are on 5th floor & I do not see compassion all I have noticed that they are there for their pay cheque Doctors give instructions & those just stay written on the board not followed by team members & questions are asked from family members by nurses rather than Nurses providing information to family members. A nurse’s job should be defined differently when they arrive at work they should be given 20 minutes to review that patient file & come & say Hello to patient for 5 seconds before they start treating their Patient being sitting there with my family member I have noticed for 2 hours we do not even know Who will be the Nurse that will handle today. So disappointed to see this but at the same time I would like to appreciate the Team members at Trilliam Health Centre in Mississauga they are trained so good & very caring & compassionate. Hoping higher authorities can act fast & set strict Rules & Regulations for the Team at Brampton Civic Hospital Let’s create a caring service as our Job Titles rather than just work🙏🙏🙏”Read moreShow less
