“Hip issues brought me to Wiebe Chiropractic. On the first visit I was told I had a severe reverse neck curve that would result in serious health issues if not corrected. Despite no headaches or neck issues, I consented to treatment. After 14 weeks of forceful neck adjustments, I had headaches, pain, and vertigo. Dr Kevin said the adjustments had over-stretched my neck ligaments without sufficient stabilization resulting in the symptoms. Dr Kevin strongly recommended I continue treatment saying the stretched ligaments had caused even further reverse curvature in my neck. He also said I had severe spinal degeneration, severe stenosis, C1 C2 neck and skull partial dislocation a.k.a. subluxation. Concerned, I went to see my family Doctor for another opinion. X-rays showed I had a slight reverse neck curve, no severe spinal degeneration, no stenosis, no partial dislocation of C1 C2 or skull. Although not anti-chiropractic, my Dr cautioned against further neck adjustments. As for the chiropractic X-rays, my Dr was resolute, radiologists are the only ones trained to accurately read X-rays. I write this to caution others to be discerning. Please be wary of non-conventional corrective chiropractic treatment and persuasive sales techniques.”
