“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Westminster House and the incredible care they provided for my dad. Although his stay was just over a year, one year and four months, the impact the staff and community had on him, and on us as a family, was truly remarkable. In that short time, the staff came to know my dad so well that it felt like he was surrounded by extended family. Even other residents’ family members knew him, which speaks volumes about the genuine sense of community within the home. The nurses, care aides, dining staff, housekeeping, laundry, reception, and everyone involved in the daily life of Westminster House deserve special recognition. Each person played an important role in my dad’s well-being, and it showed in the compassion, professionalism, and respect they brought to their work every day. The care team truly understood my dad’s needs, and every interaction was handled with patience, warmth, and dignity. Communication was always excellent. Phone calls and emails were returned promptly, and I was consistently kept informed whenever anything arose. This level of responsiveness and transparency gave me tremendous peace of mind knowing my dad was in such capable and caring hands. The managers, directors, and leadership team were exceptionally warm and supportive, always advocating for what was truly best for my dad. My dad genuinely enjoyed looking over the monthly activity schedule, which always gave him something to look forward to and helped him feel engaged and involved. Since his decline, my dad experienced his best quality of life while living at Westminster House, and that is entirely due to the care, respect, and dedication of this incredible community. Moving him to a subsidized bed was a difficult but necessary decision, and leaving Westminster House was bittersweet. I will always be deeply grateful for everything they did for my dad and for our family. Westminster House is a truly special place, and I would recommend it without hesitation.”Read moreShow less

“My mom and her late husband lived at Westminster for a couple of years, and I can only say good things about the facility and the people who work there. “We love this place. Even Better my mother loves living here. Like most older folks that are going to a retirement facility, she was very skeptical at first. Now she really appreciates how kind, patient and caring all the staff at Westminster is. Lots of activities if she wants to participate but respectful if she declines. “My Dad was in care at Westminster House for 4 years before his death last month just before his 100th birthday.! As a family we are very grateful for the care he received during his time there. He was always treated with compassion and respect and the necessary physical care was in my opinion above average. We will be eternally grateful for the staff in all departments who cared for him and our family. The staff were always approachable and communicated effectively with us. “Westminster House is a warm and welcoming residence for your loved one. All the staff go above and beyond to be kind, caring, and supportive, not only to the residents, but also to the extended family. My mother thrived, both mentally and physically, during her stay. Bringing Dad to the Lower Mainland in 2019 was a last minute decision and was an incredibly stressful time for us. “Beautiful setting in White Rock. Building and grounds are a perfect setting. Its quite and peaceful there. The staff are awesome and I find very caring.
