“Visited the ER this past weekend. A young woman had a seizure in the waiting room while I was in triage. Her mother asked for help while l watched front office staff (some of which were nurses looking puzzled at what to do ) . No one seemed to be in any hurry to help her . After returning to the waiting room , I was surprised to be called back into an examination roof ( wow that was fast I thought) . The nurse greeted me pleasantly and gave me some a gown once I explained to her what was happening. Hour 3 - The nurse who gowned me said I was to be seen next . Hour 4 - after asking for the bathroom and returning to my examination room - the nurse stuck her head in the room apologizing and said the doctor had forgotten me and they had left for the night . “Really, your serious “ I said . “ I would be upset as well “ . She told me I would be seen right away for the inconvenience. Going into our 5 - not impressed . I am contemplating leaving. I can tell you from my conversation with nurse there were no emergencies this evening . I would clearly understand if that was the case. Left -ridiculous!”Read moreShow less

“The care upon arrival to the Emergency Department from the ER nurses and Locum Physician (Dr. Whynot) for my 3 year old was impeccable this evening. He received a stitch and even though he was a brave little man, the care and comfort the team provided made the process so much easier. “My daughter was bitten by a rattle snake. We called a head to let the health center know we were coming there. They were ready and waiting. I have been an army wife for 31 years and have gone to more hospitals than I care to remember. Parry Sound health center beat them all, Ha dis down. They took excellent care of my daughter who ended up in the ICU with nine vials of antivenin. They kept checking her blood to make sure she wasn’t bleeding internally which is a concern with rattle snake bites. The doctors were professional yet had a great bedside manner.”Read moreShow less

“Worst hospital on the planet. Trust me. Almost 9hrs to see a doctor for 2 stitches on my thumb. Utterly atrocious. If I could rate it less then 1 star I would.”
