“Worst place I’ve been to and I am American and deal with American healthcare.. because I don’t have an Ontario health card I was skipped over and treated significantly worse than everyone else there. Watched people who came in after me get seen and discharged and I still haven’t seen the doctor I was there at 9:30 am finally after feeling way worse I decided to leave and chance it. Came in with severe symptoms left with worse ones. I was offered anti nausea meds even though I told them I was dizzy weak and light sensitive. Take your chances with a clinic this place is awful.”

“Went in today for gastroscope. Everyone was so so nice. Cathy that was the nurse to do my stats and put in the IV was amazing. She heard and listened to my fears of the needles and experiences taht ive had it the past and she made me feel comfortable and seen. And she knocked it out of the park. Had I had her for all IVs in the past I probably wouldn't fear them. Thank You Cathy”

“We arrived at the Emergency Dept before 4:00 pm on a Friday with a patient in significant pain. After assessment, bloodwork, treatment for pain & nausea, and observation, the patient was discharged at 1:15 am. Most of the visit comprised waiting between stages of care. We were told that ultrasound imaging wasn't available over the weekend, so this key step couldn't be performed during the visit. The staff we encountered were caring, but the overall process was lengthy, and the long waits added to what was already a stressful experience.”

“I brought my daughter here last night, and the nurse in registration was wonderful. She was so sweet asking if anyone in the waiting room needed a warm blanket. Very thoughtful. It was a long wait, but it was a busy night. We got xrays and the doctor was very thorough. I would certainly return.”

“I'm putting a review for my mom and step dad because we seen these negative reviews and we've never seen anything like they are saying or been treated in any way wrong. They are all great my mom said and the wait in and out and done within 2 hours and treated great! Simcoe is HORRIBLE the reviews that are bad sounds exactly like Simcoe hospital... I live in London my mom and step dad live in Simcoe area and go here for emergency etc... I see ppl complaining about 4 hours 5 hours! my mom and step dad have never waited that long.... in London where I live you wait 48 plus hours!!!!! Under 2 hours every time my mom and step dad have gone and that's with seeing the Dr and everything... and they said everyone is so kind!”

“Had a colonoscopy here for the first time, always in Simcoe before. Great experience, wonderful nurses, perfect IV, no big crowd of people in a small room, only waited about 10 minutes and they took me in. Will always come back here in the future.”

“I must give a shout-out in particular to the nurses at this hospital over the last few weeks. My father passed away yesterday in palliative care and we are so admirable and appreciative of their attentiveness during the process of his passing. They were empathetic, responsive and conscientious. For one of the most difficult times of our lives, they rose to the occasion of our assistance and we are very grateful. Thank you.”

“Somebody needs to do something about this hospital. Waited 45 mins to be triaged with nobody in front of me. Skipped my sick baby twice. I hate this hospital *edit This hospital is garbage. Dr yar or whatever his name is didn’t even look at my baby and prescribed him inhalers. So I take my baby to Mc master they actually check him. He had the flu an ear infection and the REAL doctors their said to take him off inhalers. Hagersville hospital is a joke. I don’t know how they stayed open.”

“awful and neglectful. grandpa was in there and was admitted for 3 weeks. terrible bedside etiquette, tried feeding him food he literally couldnt eat (after we told them he doesnt have teeth), barely changed his incontinence pad, even when asked, discharged him one morning and told is he was fine, he wasnt, took him to a better hospital, told us he had a stroke the night before they discharged him and they still let him go home telling us everything was fine, now he needs a blood transfusion. the doctors were great when they were there. and there was a good handful of nurses who know who they are, yet the bad ones definitely outweigh. nurse hung up the phone on us when we were checking in on him, had terrible attitude and was outright rude to us. same nurse told a man with dementia to “i’m not your nurse, go bother someone else.” out of kindness i’ll wait to say her name until the formal complaint to the ontario ombudsman since we’re getting zero answers from the hospital itself. honestly don't know how this disgusting facility is still running, and i dont know how half those nurses still have jobs. utterly disappointing and pathetic excuse for a hospital. if you love your family member, take them somewhere else.”
